Maury County Middle and High School Student Art on Exhibit in Pryor Gallery

(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - March 20, 2015 ) - - - Columbia State Community College's Pryor Art Gallery will feature the artwork of Maury County middle and high school students from March 23 through April 17.
"The students contributing to this exhibit demonstrate artistic proficiency through the use of multiple mediums, including graphite, oil, acrylic, watercolor, ceramics and computer generated graphics," said Rusty Summerville, Pryor Gallery curator. "The creativity of these students is a testament to the dedication and abilities of our Maury County art teachers."
The exhibit features a variety of artwork from students who attend Maury County schools, including Columbia Central High School, Spring Hill High School, Spring Hill Middle School, Mt Pleasant High School, Mt. Pleasant Middle School, Zion Christian Academy and Santa Fe Unit School.
An artists' reception will take place April 2 from 4-6 p.m. in the Pryor Gallery, and parents, family, friends and teachers of the students are invited to attend.
The Pryor Gallery is located in the Waymon L. Hickman Building on the Columbia Campus. The gallery is open and free to the public Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Please visit www.ColumbiaState.edu/PryorGallery for additional information.
