Our Mission
Founded in 1966 as Tennessee’s first community college, Columbia State Community College has a long and storied history of serving the educational and economic needs of southern Middle Tennessee.

Crucial to this mission is the office of Workforce and Community Education (WCE), which serves as a dynamic bridge between the institution and the region's evolving economic landscape.

For decades, the WCE office has partnered with local businesses, industries, and individuals to deliver high-quality, customized training programs and professional development solutions that drive economic mobility and operational excellence.
