Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) Program

The Phlebotomy Technician Certification program prepares students to safely collect blood specimens in hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and other healthcare settings. Through classroom instruction, hands-on training, and clinical experience, students are prepared for the NHA Phlebotomy Certification Exam.

Program Cost: $1,249

Materials Included: NHA exam fee, course materials, and textbook

General Schedule: Offered during the Fall and Spring terms

Financial Assistance: This program is not eligible for FAFSA funding, but eligible students may qualify for grant funding or workforce assistance. Funding opportunities vary throughout the year.

Specific Documentation Required to Apply

  • High school diploma or equivalency, HiSET® (High School Equivalency Test) or GED® (General Educational Development) Exam.
  • Purchase of student-rate, HPSO liability insurance.
  • TB Skin Test, Immunization records
  • Drug Test
  • Background Check

Certification Exams

  • This course prepares students for a certification exam accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) through National Healthcareer Association (CPT, CET, CCMA). Exam fees are incorporated into course pricing.
  • NHA Certification Testing will take place at the Columbia Main Campus Testing Center.
