Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)

We offer the Phlebotomy Technician Certification program in the fall and spring at our Columbia campus, and in the spring at our Clifton campus.

The program includes theory and hands-on instruction during a 48-hours of classroom time across six weeks, followed by 75 hours of clinical time. Individuals interested in starting a career in the medical field, prospective client care technicians, current nurses, or those looking to develop skills may benefit from this program. This certification program will prepare students for a phlebotomy certification exam that the instructor will schedule for the class once classroom and clinical time is complete.

Tuition includes the NHA exam fee, NHA course prep materials, and textbook: $1,249.00

This program is not eligible for FAFSA funding. Anyone seeking financial assistance is encouraged to reach out to their local Career Center or American Job Center to inquire about WIOA funding options.

If you are interested in participating in this program, please register for our waitlist at Phlebotomy List. Registering for the waitlist allows us to correspond with all interested individuals once pre-registration opens for the program.

When pre-registration opens, interested individuals will receive a detailed email about the upcoming cohort along with a checklist of items required in order to register for this program. The items on the checklist include registration documents, diploma or equivalent, a TB skin test, basic shot records including Hepatitis B, drug test, background check, and proof of personal professional liability insurance.

NOTE: The background check, drug test, and insurance are time sensitive items, so getting them prior to receiving a pre-registration email will likely result in having to repeat them.
