Maury County Student Art on Exhibit in Pryor Gallery

(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - March 10, 2014) - - - Columbia State Community College's Pryor Art Gallery is currently featuring the art of Maury County middle and high school students.

"In this exhibit, the students demonstrate proficiency with many different artistic mediums, including graphite, oil, acrylic, watercolor, ceramics and computer generated graphics," said Rusty Summerville, Pryor Art Gallery curator. "The dedication and abilities of our Maury County art teachers can be seen in the wonderful creativity of their students."

The exhibit, which opened March 6, features a variety of artwork from students who attend Columbia Central High School, Spring Hill High School, Whitthorne Middle School and other schools in Maury County. The exhibit will run through April 4.

The Pryor Gallery is located in the Waymon L. Hickman building on the Columbia campus. The gallery is open and free to the public Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Please visit www.ColumbiaState.edu/PryorGallery for additional information.
