Maury County Elementary School Artwork On Display In Pryor Gallery

Columbia State Community College's Pryor Gallery is hosting a reception for all students, parents, family, friends and teachers on Thursday, April 25, from 4¬-6 p.m. The current exhibit features the artwork of students in Maury County elementary schools.

"The artwork from the elementary schools of Maury County is creative, bright and so much fun," said Rusty Summerville, the Pryor Gallery curator. "These youngsters and their teachers should all be extremely proud of the contributions they have made to this wonderful exhibit in the Pryor Gallery."

Those attending the gallery exhibit are invited to stay for the First Farmers Performance Series show featuring the commercial entertainment program's spring musical, "Once Upon a Mattress." The performance begins at 7 p.m. in the Cherry Theater.

The Pryor Gallery reception is free, and tickets for the spring musical are $15 for adults and $10 for students. The evening is appropriate for all ages. Tickets for the Performance Series may be purchased by calling (931) 540-2879.

The Pryor Art Gallery is adjacent to the Cherry Theater in the Waymon L. Hickman building on the Columbia campus and is open to the public, free of charge, Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m.¬ to 8 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
