Columbia State Announces Fall 2017 Honor Students and Graduates

Columbia State Community College named 107 students to the president's list and 580 students to the dean's list for fall 2017.

"Earning a place on the president's list is a significant accomplishment," said Dr. Janet F. Smith, Columbia State president. "Students who qualify are in the topmost college bracket academically and most often have demanding personal schedules. They are to be commended for their hard work and dedication."

"The dean's list is a tradition in higher education to recognize scholarly achievement. These students have balanced a full schedule of college classes with life commitments," said Joni Lenig, interim vice president of academic affairs and associate vice president of faculty, curriculum and programs. "This ability is important not only in higher education but in careers, and we are proud to have the opportunity to support these students to learn habits for success."

To qualify for the president's list, students must earn 15 credit hours for the semester with a grade point average of 3.90 - 4.00. To qualify for the dean's list, students must earn 12 or more credit hours for the semester with a GPA of 3.50 or higher.
