Fall 2016 President's and Dean's Lists Announced
(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - Feb. 14, 2017) - - - Columbia State Community College names 58 students to the president's list and more than 470 students to the dean's list for earning academic honors for the fall 2016 semester.
"Earning a place on the president's list is a significant accomplishment," said Dr. Janet F. Smith, Columbia State president. "Students who qualify are in the topmost college bracket academically and most often have demanding personal schedules. They are to be commended for their hard work and dedication."
To qualify for the president's list, students must earn 15 credit hours for the semester with a grade point average of 3.90 - 4.00.
"Students who earn dean's list status have shown a high level of commitment to their education," said Dr. Margaret D. Smith, the executive vice president and provost for academic affairs and student programs and services. "I have no doubts they will be successful in future endeavors as they move forward in their education and their careers."
To qualify for the dean's list, students must earn 12 or more credit hours for the semester with a GPA of 3.50 or higher.
