Choir And Ensemble To Perform Spring Program

Performance Free and Open to the Public Thursday, April 25

(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - April 15, 2013) - - - Columbia State Community College's Department of Music presents its spring program on Thursday, April 25 at 1 p.m., featuring the college choir and chamber ensemble.

The performance includes a variety of songs, from Vivaldi's "Gloria" to African folk music. The women's ensemble will perform "Take Five," a tribute to the late Dave Brubeck, an American jazz pianist and composer.

"It should be fun and entertaining for audience members of all ages," said Emily Gaskill, assistant professor of music at Columbia State.

The student program will take place in the Ledbetter Auditorium, located in the Frank G. Clement building on the Columbia campus. The event is free and open to the public.
