PIANIST MCNEILL TO PERFORM ON THE CHERRY THEATER STAGE

Performance Free and Open to the Public Tuesday, Nov. 20

(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - Nov. 7, 2012) - - - Classical pianist Matthew McNeill comes to Columbia State Community College's Cherry Theater for a one-time performance on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 4 p.m. With works by J.S. Bach, Alexander Scriabin and Sergie Rachmaninoff, the concert is a wonderful lead-in to the Thanksgiving holiday week.
"We are delighted to welcome Matthew McNeill to the Cherry Theater at Columbia State and hope that the community will join us for a relaxing evening of music," said Emily Gaskill, director of music for Columbia State.
McNeill is an undergraduate piano performance student at Austin Peay State University. He has performed with the wind ensemble, symphony orchestra, university choir, jazz collegians, chamber singers and governor's singers. He regularly performs in the Clarksville area and serves as the music director of the Madison Street Bible Baptist Church. NcNeill has been a member of the Nashville Symphony Chorus, singing under conductors such as George Mabry and Giancarlo Guerrero.
The Cherry Theater is in the Waymon L. Hickman building on the Columbia campus at 1665 Hampshire Pike. The performance is free and open to the public.
