First Farmers and Columbia State Partnership Continues To Serve Southern Middle Tennessee;
Performance Series Opens Thursday, September 24 with Legends of Motown, starring HORIZON

Over the last eight years, Columbia State Community College, First Farmers & Merchants Bank and other sponsors and patrons have successfully brought in local and world renowned artists to perform on the Cherry Theater stage as part of the Performance Series. Now, Columbia State has announced First Farmers & Merchants Bank has signed on to be the title sponsor of the 2009-2010 First Farmers & Merchants Bank Performance Series presented by Columbia State Community College.

Smith, President of Columbia State. The 2009-2010 First Farmers & Merchants Bank Performance Series will contribute to our region's development and serve the citizens of southern Middle Tennessee."
The 2009-2010 First Farmers & Merchants Bank Performance Series opens this Thursday, September 24 with the Legends of Motown, starring HORIZON. The show will be held in the Cherry Theater located in Waymon L. Hickman building at 7 p.m. There are still tickets available to this exciting show. The 2009-2010 First Farmers & Merchants Bank Performance Series line-up features Legends of Motown starring HORIZON on Thursday, September 24, Showtime at First Baptist - The Women of Ivy Gap Return on Thursday, October 29, Christmas Pops on Tuesday, December 8, Toe Roaster on Thursday, February 25, I Musici de Montreal on Thursday, March 18 and the annual Columbia State Spring Musical - show TBD - on Saturday, April 24.
Past seasons have featured international performances from Russia, Ireland, and Canada, as well as acts from Nashville, Baltimore and other U.S. cities. The Series has featured an eclectic mix of shows ranging from the Nashville Symphony, to the Cumberland Playhouse, to the Platters.
