(Columbia, Tenn. - April 1, 2011) --- Columbia State Community College recently took 15 Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) students to Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee in order to tour the university's facilities and to provide students the opportunity to discuss transfer options after they complete their Associates degree at Columbia State. The trip was sponsored by the Columbia State Science, Technology and Mathematics division and students were accompanied by Dr. Glenn Hudson, Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Jim Watson, Adjunct Physics Instructor. The division plans to take trips each year to help assist students in choosing their transfer institution in an effort to help further their STEM related education.
