COLUMBIA STATE OFFERS NON-CREDIT CLASSES IN FRANKLIN

June Offerings Include: "Spanish In The Workplace" and Software Classes

Columbia State Community College's Center for Economic and Workforce Development is offering non-credit courses in Franklin during June.

"Spanish in the Workplace" training begins Tuesday, June 1. The class sessions, scheduled to be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. two evenings per week for six weeks, will be held at Middle College High School in Franklin. The "Spanish in the Workplace" course covers basic conversation, pronunciation and grammar needed to communicate with Spanish speakers. This course focuses on specific communication requirements in a workplace environment. The fee for the course is $199 and includes text.

Introduction to Word 2007 takes place on Saturday, June 12, from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. in room 107 of the Williamson County Campus in Franklin. Topics include creating documents with Word 2007, editing documents, formatting text and paragraphs, formatting documents, creating and formatting tables. The fee, $129, includes a textbook.

Introduction to Excel 2007 takes place on Saturday, June 19, from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. in room 107 of the Williamson County Campus in Franklin. Topics include getting started with Excel 2007, working with formulas and functions, formatting a worksheet, working with charts, analyzing data using formulas and functions. The fee, $129, includes a textbook.

Introduction to PowerPoint 2007 takes place on Saturday, June 26, from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. in room 107 of the Williamson County Campus in Franklin. Topics include creating a presentation, modifying a presentation, inserting objects into a presentation, finishing a presentation and working with advanced tools and masters. The fee, $129, includes a textbook.
