(Columbia, Tenn.- November 3, 2011) - - - "Beatlemania" is alive again in The Return - the world's most authentic and entertaining Beatles tribute band on the stage today - and it's taking over the Cherry Theater on Thursday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. The First Farmer's Performance Series presented by Columbia State Community College is pleased to welcome this exciting group as the 3rd show of the 2011-2012 season.

Recently named the Atlanta Braves Band of the Year, The Return is sure to have the audience dancing in the aisles before the concerts end. This Fab Four performs a song list packed with all the fun and lively tunes the Beatles played while touring between 1963 and 1966 including #1 hits like I want to Hold your Hand, A Hard Day's Night, Twist and Shout and Long Tall Sally. Having performed all over the world including the Cavern in Liverpool as well as the Abbey Road Studios in London, both made famous by the original Beatles, The Return will have you believing you're seeing the real thing complete with moppy dark hair, black suites and tan Nehru jackets.

"We can't wait for December 1," said Beth Duffield, director, alumni relations and community events. "We think the group has such broad appeal that everyone from teenagers to the baby boomers, who came of age during the Beatles tours, to the very young at heart will enjoy the show. Ticket sales have already been brisk and we think every seat will be filled so we encourage everyone to purchase their tickets soon to make sure they have a seat to this really fun evening."

Tickets can also be purchased at the Columbia State Community College ticket office, Pryor Building, Room 108, Monday-Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The ticket box office will open one hour prior to each performance in the Waymon L. Hickman Building, Room 100A. All performances in the series will be in the Cherry Theater, located in the Waymon L. Hickman building on the Columbia campus.
