Les Leverett, an old friend and photographer at the Grand Ole Opry for 32 years, will be exhibiting his work in the Pryor Art Gallery. Not only was Les friends with all the Opry greats, including Marty Stuart, but he also has stories to tell…and he tells them like no other!
Les is a Grammy Award-winning photographer and tells the story of the Grand Ole Opry through the lens of his camera. He has been featured in the Ken Burns film, “Country Music,” and won Billboard Magazine’s award for Best Country Music Album for Dolly Parton’s Bubbling Over. He is also included in the Country Music Hall of Fame’s “Walkway of Stars” and was awarded the Distinguished Achievement Award from the International Bluegrass Association.
The Pryor Art Gallery will also exhibit the photographs of country music as seen through the eyes and lens of country music legend, Marty Stuart. In addition to being a member of the Grand Ole Opry, a 5 time Grammy Award winner and a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, Marty is also a photographer having written and filled a number of books with his incredible images and stories.
The Pryor Art Gallery would like to thank Les, Marty and the Grand Ole Opry for their help and work putting this wonderful exhibit together.
This exhibit is free and open to the public.
