Columbia State is pleased to announce 160 students named to the president's list and 646 students named to the Dean's List for earning academic honors during the spring 2021 semester.
"The spring semester brought some challenges and new opportunities in a virtual environment. Our students persevered in the new environment and not only met, but exceed their academic goals," said Dr. Janet F. Smith, Columbia State president. "As they continued with new learning formats and technologies, and managing full-time course loads and personal obligations, these students excelled. That is an outstanding achievement."
To qualify for the president's list, students must earn 15 credit hours for the semester (excluding Learning Support) with a grade point average of 3.90-4.00.
To qualify for the dean's list, students must earn 12 or more credit hours for the semester (excluding Learning Support) with a GPA of 3.50 or higher.
Students who earned a spot on the dean's list proved that hard work, perseverance and the determination to excel can help prepare students for any academic challenge, said Joni Lenig, vice president of academic affairs and associate vice president of faculty, curriculum and programs. Earning excellent grades in courses offered online or live streaming during a national pandemic while maintaining personal obligations is a remarkable accomplishment.
Dean's List
*Please note that any grade changes made after June 6, 2021 that would affect a student's standing on the President's or Dean's List will be reflected on a student's transcript.
