Columbia State Community College is pleased to announce 106 students named to the president's list and 626 students named to the dean's list for earning academic honors during the fall semester.
"Achieving academic excellence at this level is an accomplishment that demonstrates outstanding commitment to academic efforts," said Dr. Janet F. Smith, Columbia State president. "Students who maintain this level of academic performance while managing full-time course loads and multiple responsibilities, including jobs, families and extra-curricular activities, are to be applauded for their hard work and dedication."
To qualify for the president's list, students must earn 15 credit hours for the semester with a grade point average of 3.90 - 4.00.
“Students on the dean’s list not only exemplify academic excellence but also epitomize hard work, perseverance and the determination to excel,” said Dr. Mary Lou D’Allegro, Columbia State vice president for academic affairs. “Many of these students have several other obligations and therefore, the dean’s list is truly a recognition of their remarkable accomplishment.”
To qualify for the dean's list, students must earn 12 or more credit hours for the semester with a GPA of 3.50 or higher.
*Please note that any grade changes made after Jan. 11, 2019 that would affect a student's standing on the President's or Dean's list will be reflected on a student's transcript.
