Travis Ledoyt To Pay “A Tribute To The King”
(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - Nov. 26, 2013) - - - The First Farmers Performance Series welcomes Travis LeDoyt's "A Tribute to the King" to Columbia State Community College's Cherry Theater Dec. 5.
"We're very excited for Travis LeDoyt to come to Columbia State," said Dr. Janet F. Smith, Columbia State president. "This show is the perfect experience for anyone who missed seeing Elvis in concert or anyone who wants to relive the excitement."
Through his remarkable resemblance and his incredible talent to emulate and perform the voice and style, LeDoyt flawlessly captures the essence of Elvis in his prime. In true 1950s concert style using a three-piece band featuring guitar, bass and drums, LeDoyt performs a spectacular, jaw-dropping tribute to the man that shaped a generation.
"This is as close as you're going to get to seeing an Elvis Presley concert in the 50s," said former Presley drummer D.J. Fontana, following LeDoyt's performance.
Although LeDoyt's show is sold out, tickets are still available for the remainder of the Performance Series shows, including Franc D'Ambrosio's "Broadway Songs of the Great White Way" Feb. 6, "The Official Blues Brothers Revue" presented by Dan Akroyd, Judith Belushi and Music Director Paul Shaffer March 13, and the commercial entertainment program's spring musical April 24.
Tickets for each of the remaining shows are $20 for adults and $10 for students. Tickets for future shows can be charged by phone using a major credit card, call (931) 540-2879. Tickets can also be purchased at the Columbia State ticket office in the Pryor Administration building, room 108, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
