Overview: A 4.5-day Youth Robotic Camp is designed for middle school students to instill excitement for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Led by our experienced instructor, Alan Fisher, the camp aims to teach programming concepts, engineering practices, and teamwork using LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Education Kits.
Activities: Participants will engage in hands-on building and programming activities to create various robots throughout the camp. They will learn basic LEGO robot build techniques, programming commands for movement, turning, sensing, and decision-making. By the fifth day, students will modify and program their robots for a thrilling BattleBot competition.
Competition Day: Parents are encouraged to attend the competition on the final day, where students will showcase their robot designs and battle strategies.
Grade Level: The camp is suitable for rising 6th to 8th-grade students.
