Steps to Enroll

Step 1
  • Be aware of semester deadlines.
    • Application Deadlines:
      • Summer 2021: May 10 (Full and First Term)
      • Fall 2021: August 6
    • Registration Deadlines:
      • Summer 2021: May 19 (Full and First Term)
      • Fall 2021: August 17
    • Fee Payment Dates:
      • Summer 2021: May 17 (Full and First Term)
      • Fall 2021: August 11
  • Download the Columbia State mobile app. Although not required, it can help you stay connected!
Step 2
  • Apply to Columbia State.
    • After you apply, remember to check your Columbia State email frequently. Email is how the college will communicate important information!

Step 3
  • Submit all official transcripts.
    • From high school and/or college(s) attended or your GED score report or HiSET scores.
    • Send directly to Office of Admissions, 1665 Hampshire Pike Columbia, TN 38401.
Step 4
  • Take placement test or submit scores, if needed.
Step 5
  • Submit other documentation.
    • Proof of citizenship/lawful presence. 
    • Selective service registration, if needed.

  • Once admitted, regularly check your Columbia State email for next steps and important dates and deadlines.

  • Register for classes.

  • Attend DASH, a Wrap Up Loose Ends event for Fall 2021.
    • Pick up student ID and parking pass, if needed.
Step 13
  • Confirm and/or pay your balance. (See deadlines above!)

  • Go to class!
