Columbia State Community College is pleased to announce 128 students named to the president's list and 625 students named to the Dean's List for earning academic honors during the fall 2019 semester.
"Students who achieve this level of academic excellence demonstrate an outstanding commitment to their educational goals," said Dr. Janet F. Smith, Columbia State president. "Excelling at this level while managing full-time course loads and personal obligations is an outstanding accomplishment."
To qualify for the president's list, students must earn 15 credit hours for the semester with a grade point average of 3.90-4.00.
“Students on the dean’s list not only exemplify academic excellence but also epitomize hard work, perseverance and the determination to excel,” said Joni Lenig, interim vice president of academic affairs and associate vice president of faculty, curriculum and programs. “Many of these students have several other obligations and therefore, the dean’s list is truly a recognition of their remarkable accomplishment.”
To qualify for the dean's list, students must earn 12 or more credit hours for the semester with a GPA of 3.50 or higher.
*Please note that any grade changes made after Jan. 10, 2019 that would affect a student's standing on the President's or Dean's list will be reflected on a student's transcript.
