Planning Council Minutes - October 10, 2007
Paul Jennings called the meeting to order, welcomed Debbie Long representing PSO, and acknowledged Emily Siciensky representing Financial and Business Services. There were 3 items on the agenda: Statement of Mission, Progress Report, and Action Plan. • The Planning Council (PC) has the responsibility to reaffirm and approve the Columbia State statement of mission. A motion was made by Linda Horner and seconded by Emily Siciensky to approve the mission statement as written. The council voted to reaffirm the current statement. • The progress report was developed to show how Columbia State addressed its strategic goals last year, and to summarize the actions taken to achieve its objectives. There were questions and discussions about the College strategic goals of leadership, access, quality, and resourcefulness. • Next the PC turned its attention to the “2007-08 Action Plan,” and discussed the actions the College will undertake in 2007-08 to achieve its strategic goals. • Paul said he will make modifications to the documents per comments and email them to PC members for final review. • Meeting adjourned. |
