MEETING: March 4, 2005, 9:00 a.m., Hickman 119
PRESENT: Paul Jennings, Kelly Stinnett, Mike Shuler, Joni Lenig, Marilia Gerges, Marvin Austin, Nancy Ramsy, Emily Siciensky, Dan Opalewski, Christa Martin, Diby Kouadio, Ricky Martin

OVERVIEW: Columbia State’s Planning Council met on Friday, March 4, 2005, in Room 119 of the Hickman Building. Paul called the meeting to order at 9:08a.
- The main objective of the meeting is to facilitate discussions that will lead to the development of objectives to include in the college strategic plan. The discussions are based on the committee’s rankings of the strategic planning priorities.
- The potential strategic planning priorities are grouped into three levels. Level I initiatives are “must” initiatives, Level II contains “should” initiatives, and “might” initiatives are included in Level III.
- Lengthy discussions ensued that focused on each priority and weighed its potential with respect to others. This is a working process that will be used as a tool in developing the objectives in strategic planning.
- The next meeting is scheduled for March 16, 2005, at 2:00p.
