March 16, 2005

MEETING: March 16, 2005, 3:00 p.m., Hickman 104

PRESENT: Paul Jennings, Kelly Stinnett, Mike Shuler, Joni Lenig, Nancy Ramsy, Emily Siciensky, Dan Opalewski, Christa Martin, Diby Kouadio, Ricky Martin, Kae Fleming, Cathy McDonald, Dusty Doddridge

OVERVIEW: Columbia State’s Planning Council met at 3pm on Friday, March 16, 2005, in Room 104 of the Hickman Building.

1. The objectives derived from the last Planning Council meeting were grouped according to the four “Level I” priority areas (See attachment below.)  There are also some objectives under “Other” that address both Level I and lower priority areas.
   
2. Lengthy discussions of the various objectives in the priority areas ensued. A few changes were suggested by the council, including the following.
   
3. Use Kansas Cost Study indicators instead of Kansas Cost Study information.
   
4. Insert “Partner with stakeholders to” implement regional P-16 actions that advance educational attainment in southern middle Tennessee.

The next meeting was scheduled for April 1, 2005, 2:00 p.m.
