MEETING: October 27, 2004, 2:30 p.m., Napier, Jones Student Center

PRESENT: Diby Kouadio, Paul Jennings, Kelly Stinnett, Ken Horner, Christa Martin, Dusty Doddridge, Cathryn McDonald, Kae Fleming, Marilia Gerges, Nancy Ramsy, Ricky Martin, Dan Opalewski, Mike Shuler, Joni Lenig

OVERVIEW: Columbia State’s Planning Council met on Wednesday, October 27, 2004. Four items were on the agenda.

1. Mission Statement: Mike Shuler stated that the College mission statement is due to TBR on November 12. He set a goal of Nov. 4 to submit the statement to the President so she would have a week to review it.
2. Academic Services Issues: Cathryn McDonald presented a report on the current status of academic services, summarized issues arising from internal evaluation data and external studies, and discussed future challenges facing the College.
3. Enrollment Management: Dan Opalewski presented an enrollment analysis, based on assumptions and plans for the future for enrollment management at Columbia State.
4. Review of planning forums: Paul Jennings said that comments collected from the community planning forums will be summarized and made available for review.

The next meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, November 17, 2004.
