OVERVIEW: Columbia State’s Planning Council met on Wednesday, December 15, 2004, in the Napier Room of the Jones Student Center. Dr. Paul Jennings opened the meeting and informed us of the items on the agenda.
- President’s perspectives on Strategic Planning
Dr. Hawkins sits on the Strategic Planning oversight committee of the Tennessee Board of Regents. This committee comprises a representation of all TBR colleges and universities, and worked at crafting four strategic goals. She spoke of the activities of the Southern Growth Policy Board and of three priorities from the Clarus study.
- Mike Shuler spoke briefly of the activities of the Core values team.
- Paul Jennings reported on the activities of other subcommittees.
- The date for the next meeting was scheduled for January 19, 2005.
