Overview

• Dr. Paul Jennings opened the meeting and displayed a PowerPoint presentation covering the meeting agenda:
  
  
  • The presentation set the stage for outlining the TBR Strategic Planning process, stressing the relevance of the TBR process for Columbia State, and providing possible response items to the TBR Survey of Institutions: Building TBR Planning Goals.
    
    
  • The Survey of Institutions is a critical part of the 2005-10 TBR Strategic Planning Process and solicits the recommendations of TBR institutions for System planning goals and each of the four TBR Planning Priorities, namely leadership, access to learning, quality, and resourcefulness.
    
    
  • This is the first meeting in preparation for the beginning of Columbia State’s strategic planning activities. Faculty and staff suggestions for possible TBR goals and priorities are welcome. Please email your suggestions and comments to Paul by Friday, August 27, 2004. The survey responses will be compiled and turned over to the TBR Oversight Committee by September 3, 2004.
    
    
  • The next Planning Council meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 25, 2004. There being no more discussion, this meeting was adjourned.
